Terry Scannell has been a member of the Oregon State Bar for over 30 years. He is also part of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Federal Bar Association.
Attorney Scannell has an extensive background in government, having worked for the Mayor of Portland and also as a civilian for the Portland Police Bureau. He was even on the legislative staff of Oregon Congressman Robert Duncan and the House Budget Committee.
In addition to being a highly skilled financial abuse attorney, he has extensive experience in owning and managing startups. For his educational background, he has earned the following:

Hailing from the mountains of Western North Carolina, Chris brings over 25 years of sales and customer service experience to law practice. Recognizing that law is both a business and a learned profession, Chris believes his product is his best advice. A lifelong learner, Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his Juris Doctor degree from Lewis & Clark Law School, and an MBA from Portland State University’s School of Business.
Chris has been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 2009 and practices in state and federal courts. Chris focuses on litigation and transactional work, especially related to real estate and small businesses. Chris’s expertise in law and business gives him a unique ability to understand and solve complex problems while using his extensive customer service skills to relate to diverse clients.
